Setting the Primary Clock Source

Timing is independent for the ports on an FT1 link module. For these modules,

you select the timing source for each port.

The primary clock identifies the primary source of the timing signals. Table 8-10

lists the options for this parameter.

Using the BCC

To set the primary clock, navigate to the ft1 prompt (for example,

ft1/1/1

)

and type:

primary-clock

variable

For example:

ft1/1/1#

primary-clock internal
