Configuring Interface Timers
The following sections describe the timers that you can set on each OSPF
interface.
Setting the Retransmit Interval
The retransmit interval is the number of seconds between link-state advertisement
retransmissions for adjacencies belonging to this interface.
Each type of network has an optimum retransmit interval. If the interface is
connected to a broadcast network, we suggest you use the default setting -- 5
seconds. We suggest the following settings for network types supported by OSPF:
You can use Site Manager to specify a retransmit interval.
