Conﬁguring Import and Export Route Filters

The following sections describe the procedures you follow to conﬁgure import

and export route ﬁlters for RIP, OSPF, BGP-3, and EGP.

RIP Route Filters

The following sections show you how to select RIP route ﬁlter windows from the

Site Manager and describe all RIP route ﬁlter parameters.

Conﬁguring RIP Import Route Filters

To add, edit, or delete RIP Import Route Filters, begin at the Conﬁguration

Manager window and proceed as follows:

1. Select Protocols➔IP➔Route Filters➔RIP➔Import Filters.

Note: Import and export ﬁlters provide a subset of the parameters provided by

accept and announce policies. We currently support both IP policies and IP

route ﬁlters. However, network administrators using import and export ﬁlters

for routing table management should migrate as quickly as possible to IP

policies. In a future release, support for the import and export ﬁlters described

in this chapter will be dropped.
