BGP Peer Parameter Descriptions
This section describes how to set BGP peer configuration parameters shown on
the BGP Peer Parameters window.
Parameter: Peer Address
Default: None
Range: Any IP address
Function: Specifies the IP address of the interface on the remote side of this BGP
peer connection.
Instructions: Enter the IP address in dotted decimal notation. If the peer is in a remote
AS, the address must be on the same subnet as the local interface.
MIB Object ID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.18.3.5.3.2.5.1.2.1.6
Parameter: Peer AS
Default: None
Range: 1 to 65535
Function: Identifies the autonomous system to which the BGP router at the remote
end of this BGP peer connection belongs.
Instructions: Enter the appropriate AS number.

Parameter: Local Address
Default: None
Range: Any IP address
Function: Specifies the IP address of the interface on the local side of this BGP peer
connection.
Instructions: Enter the appropriate address.
