Using the Trap Monitor

Figure 2-14 shows the Trap Monitor window with messages.

You can scroll through the trap messages using the scroll bars on the bottom and

right side of the window.

Filtering Trap Messages

The Trap Monitor gives you two viewing options:

• Select Trap Types

• Set Address Filters

Using these options, you can ﬁlter by severity or by router IP address all trap

messages that the Trap Monitor tool receives. The Trap Monitor displays only

those trap types that you specify.
