Parameter: Slot Upper Bound

Default: 0

Range: 0 to 14

Function: Along with the Slot Lower Bound parameter, this parameter speciﬁes the

slot or range of slots on which you want to ﬁlter the log messages for this

entity.

Instructions: To specify a range of slots, enter the upper number of the range in this

ﬁeld. You must specify the lower number of the range in the Slot Lower

Bound ﬁeld, as described previously.

To ﬁlter events for a speciﬁc slot, enter the slot number in this ﬁeld. You

must enter the same number in the Slot Lower Bound ﬁeld.

If you do not want to use this ﬁlter, accept the default, 0. Be sure to do the

same in the Slot Lower Bound ﬁeld.

Function: Maps router event messages with a severity level of fault to an error level

that UNIX syslogd recognizes. T

levels.

Instructions: We recommend you accept the default UNIX error level for this severity

level. To map this severity level to a different UNIX error level, click on

Values, and then select the error level you want.
