Parameter: Clear Alarm Threshold (seconds)

Default: 2 seconds

Range: 2 to 10 seconds

Function: Speciﬁes the clear time (in seconds) for performance failure conditions. If

the defect or anomaly clears in the time interval speciﬁed by this

parameter, MCT1 records a performance-cleared condition and logs an

event message.

Instructions: Set the timer value.

Parameter: FDL Conﬁguration

Default: ANSI 403

Options: ANSI 403 | AT&T 54016 | None

Function: Selects a Facility Data Link (FDL) mode. The default, ANSI 403 mode,

conforms with the 1989 ANSI T1.403 speciﬁcation (Carrier-to-Customer

Installation DS1 Metallic Interface); 54016 conforms with the 1989

AT&T speciﬁcation (Requirements for Interfacing Digital Terminal

Equipment to Services Employing the Extended Superframe Format). The

router uses the Facility Data Link only when the T1 line is conﬁgured

with an ESF line type.

Parameter: Remote FDL HDLC Address Mode

Default: BY

Options: AZ | BY

Function: Selects the BY or AZ FDL Address Mode. This determines whether the

near-end FDL will respond to HDLC address AZ or BY in the FDL

messages from the far end.

Instructions: Specify the address mode.
