Deleting the Old Conﬁguration File from the Router

Use the Router Files Manager to delete the old conﬁguration ﬁle from the router.

1. Select Tools➔Router Files Manager.

2. Select the old conﬁguration ﬁle from the available volumes.

3. Select Commands➔Delete.

A conﬁrmation window appears.

4. Click on OK in the conﬁrmation window.

Renaming the Edited Conﬁguration File to the Default

By default, the ﬁle named conﬁg is the conﬁguration ﬁle used to boot the router.

Use the Router Files Manager to change the name of your edited conﬁguration ﬁle

to the default ﬁlename and delete the old ﬁle.

1. Select Tools➔Router Files Manager.

2. Select the edited conﬁguration ﬁle from the list of ﬁles in the Router Files

Manager window.

3. Select Commands➔Copy so that you can copy the new conﬁguration ﬁle

to a file named config on the router.

A window displays the source ﬁlename you selected.

4. Click on OK in the window.

A window prompts you for the name of the copy.

5. Enter conﬁg in the window, and then click on OK.

A conﬁrmation window appears.

6. Click on OK in the conﬁrmation window.

7. Select the edited conﬁguration ﬁle.

8. Select Commands➔Delete to delete your edited conﬁguration ﬁle from

the router.

A conﬁrmation window appears.

Note: If the router uses a memory card, use the Commands➔Compact option

to compact the memory card.
