If you are responsible for conﬁguring and managing Bay Networks routers, you

need to read this guide. This guide provides an overview of the Conﬁguration

Manager, and instructions on

• Starting up a router conﬁguration ﬁle

• Conﬁguring the router’s connection to the Technician Interface console

• Specifying administrative information

• Implementing conﬁgurations created in local or remote mode, and saving

dynamically made changes to a conﬁguration ﬁle

• Using the Conﬁguration Change utility

Audience

Written for system and network managers, this guide describes how to conﬁgure

Bay Networks routers to suit your environment.

This guide assumes that you have a working knowledge of Bay Networks router

software, Site Manager software, and the Technician Interface. It also assumes

that you have experience managing and conﬁguring Bay Networks routers.
