Configuring WAN Line Services

Parameter: Initiate Link Setup Action
Path: COM Connector for X.25 Interface > Edit Line > LAPB > Edit LAPB
Parameters
Default: Active
Options: Active
| Passive
Function: Identifies whether or not the router initiates link setup or waits for the network
to initiate.
Instructions: Enter Active if you want the router to initiate link setup, or Passive if you want
the network to initiate link setup.

Parameter: Enable Rx/Tx of XID Frames
Path: COM Connector for X.25 Interface > Edit Line > LAPB > Edit LAPB
Parameters
Default: Disable
Options: Enable

Function: Enables or disables the transmission and reception of test XID frames by the
router.
Instructions: Select Enable to allow the router to send XID frames. Select Disable to prevent
the router from sending XID frames.
