This guide describes how to isolate and solve problems associated with Nortel

Before You Begin

This guide assumes that you have the following background:

• Experience configuring and managing Nortel Networks routers

• A working knowledge of Site Manager and the Technician Interface

• A working knowledge of the protocols running on your routers

Before using this guide to solve a problem, see the following documents:

• Release Notes for BayRS Version 13.00

• Release Notes for Site Manager Software Version 7.00

• Known Anomalies: BayRS 13.00 and Site Manager 7.00

This guide assumes that you also have access to the following Nortel Networks

manuals, which are on the CD-ROM:

• Using Technician Interface Software

• Using Technician Interface Scripts

• Configuring and Managing Routers with Site Manager

• Event Messages for Routers

• The manuals associated with the software you are using

Make sure that you are running the latest version of Nortel Networks Site

Manager and router software. For instructions, see the upgrade guide.
