Customizing OSPF Multicast Extensions

After you configure OSPF with multicast extensions, you can set multicast global
parameters as described under the following topics:
Specifying a Forwarding Timeout Value
To specify a value for timing out MOSPF entries in the forwarding table, complete
the following tasks:

Note:
MOSPF will not forward datagrams out an interface until multicast
forwarding is enabled on the interface. For instructions, see “Configuring
Multicast Forwarding on an OSPF Interface” on page 5-9.
Site Manager Procedure

The Protocols menu opens.
2. Choose
IP
. The IP menu opens.
3. Choose
OSPF/MOSPF
. The OSPF menu opens.
4. Choose
Global
. The Edit OSPF Global Parameters
window opens.
5. Set the
Multicast
Timeout Value
parameter. Click on
Help
or see the
parameter description on page A-35.
6. Click on
OK
. You return to the Configuration Manager
window.
