The console port locks up on a PP2430 when a sync interface changes state.

Tag violation faults and memory corruption can occur when TI initializes.

when a Xircom PCMCIA modem is used as the console port the modem

will answer but occasionally will not send the login prompt. This

may result in a router fault within a few minutes.

Repeated dialing into a PP2430 to open and close a TI session will

eventually cause the router to fault.
