Ethernet DCM Parameters

This appendix contains reference information about customizing the parameters

for the Ethernet DCM to support RMON and RMON2.

For each parameter, this appendix provides the following information:

• Parameter name

• Configuration Manager menu path

• Default setting

• Valid parameter options

• Parameter function

• Instructions for setting the parameter

• Management information base (MIB) object ID

The Technician Interface allows you to modify parameters by issuing

set

and

commit

commands with the MIB object ID. This process is equivalent to

modifying parameters using Site Manager. For more information about using the

Technician Interface to access the MIB, refer to Using Technician Interface

Software.

Caution:

The Technician Interface does not verify the validity of your

parameter values. Entering an invalid value can corrupt your configuration.
